Ian Banks was registered as a candidate on the independent Expert List on the Participant Portal of EU Research and Innovation, up until 2020 and Brexit. His registration was linked to: Horizon 2020 (including Euratom programme); and the Creative Europe / EU Culture programmes of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The registration now looks to continue post Brexit, although it is noted that the EU’s own stated expectation is for “…most of the experts selected to come from Member States of the European Union and Associated Countries”.
