Ian Banks is acting as public art consultant and curator for the new £4m Plas Heli, the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Events Centre at Pwllheli, North Wales practically complete. He is acting for Gwynedd Council and working for architects EWA (Ellis Williams Architects). Curated public artworks involve wind-interactive LED lighting by artist Jessica Loyd-Jones. The building is due to complete in September 2015, although partial possession has already been granted, so watch this space….
