From 2021, Ian Banks is now a Member of The Green Register – an independent, self-funded and not-for-profit organisation whose principal goal is to promote sustainable building practices across all disciplines of the construction industry.
The Green Register with it’s hundreds of members like Ian represents a diverse range of disciplines and different sized companies – and all equally passionate about creating better, more sustainable buildings and wellbeing.
The Green Register runs a wide range of seminars and training events and in-house Continuing Professional Development (CDP) sessions on a variety of cutting-edge sustainable construction topics. Their events are aimed at professionals from all disciplines of the construction industry, and provide unbiased, practical and affordable training on sustainable building practices, great ideas and networking opportunities.
As such, the sustainable morals and good practice of The Green Register was felt to link in very much to those of Ian and Atoll Architecture. In addition, like all RIBA Chartered Members, Ian is required to undertake and record at least 35 hours of relevant learning each year through structured CPD – and so much of this will now be untaken via The Green Register.
