Description: Following on from the earlier phase of Shine artist-in-school residencies, Ian Banks prepared the commissioning strategy for Artistcall linked to the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme in Blackburn with Darwen – this time for 6 further schools.

The commission curated for Our Lady & St John High School involved shortlisting a range of video artists and filmmakers and using a school panel to select from. Filmmaker Jason Wingard was ultimately selected. He worked with a group of six form students involved in media studies to help write, act, film and produce a series of video film shorts highlighting important issues such as student mental health.
